The fun and glamorous “Club South Beach” theme isn‟t the only thing new to this year‟s Celebration of Imagination! Under the leadership of co-chairs Donna Newman and Ann Angelastro, and art chair Christine Fenner, plenty of exciting and innovative new features await the TBS Schools community at Celebration on March 6, 2010:
Reverse Raffle. Chair Steve Paley is putting a terrific new twist on the traditional 50/50 raffle! Rather than drawing one winning ticket, Steve and his assistant Seth Koplin will begin withdrawing tickets throughout Celebration. Eventually only five tickets will be left; and the lucky ticket holders will be invited up on stage to decide if they wish to split the pot or compete to win it all. Whether you are a finalist or just in the audience cheering them on, you‟ll love the excitement – and the suspense!
Parent Pride. The fun of Celebration kicks off one day early this year! Mark your calendar for Friday, March 5, and plan to join your child for a special edition of Panther Pride. Coach Steve Griffitts is planning beach-themed activities in which parents compete against each other to earn points for their children‟s Panther Pride teams. It‟s a great opportunity to spend time with our kids and TBS friends, get some exercise – and get into the Celebration spirit!
Vintage Boutique. Chair Vanessa Opstal is planning an incredible addition to the evening‟s shopping. Watch for details in late October about donating gently-used jewelry and handbags – then plan to stop by the vintage boutique at Celebration to browse the donations and pick up some almost-new specialty items at a great cost. It‟s a fabulous way to treat yourself – and support TBS Schools at the same time!
Along with these new highlights, of course, the familiar fun of Celebration also awaits: an awesome live and silent auction featuring artwork crafted by our children, dinner (prepared by our new event caterer, the acclaimed Zildjian Catering), dessert, cocktails, dancing – and a terrific night out with your TBS Schools friends and community.
