The TBS Day Schools' Advisory Board
Welcome.
Temple Beth Sholom Schools is a vibrant community defined by a commitment to outstanding academics and dedication to the development of character. Excellent teachers, dedicated students, involved parents, and loyal alumni comprise our TBSS Family.
The role of the Advisory Board is to empower and enable the school to achieve its mission of long term financial security and the development and maintenance of long term strategic goals. Listed are the names of our 2010-2011 Board members. Each champion dedication, bringing experience and inspiration to our collaborations. Please review the names and their positions to acquaint yourself with their role on our Board. In addition, we encourage you to frequently visit our other website domains and Facebook.
In 2010-2011, we will complete a formal, updated strategic and financial plan for the school's FCIS and NAEYC accreditation. We will partner with a consultant to ensure that we employ the best marketing strategies. Already, we have our own line of Spirit Wear and initiated new marketing ads in local magazines. This year we will launch our new fundraising campaign, “Less is More”. Our school is committed to limit our fundraising efforts and focus only on three traditional events. All monetary contributions demonstrate an investment in our school, its integrity, its excellence, and its guiding values. Further, fundraising is VITAL at TBSS as it is in any private school.
Financial aid and long term endowment remain important components to our monthly discussions. The “Buy a Brick” program was developed for these needs. Printed materials and online information will be available to those supporting this initiative.
As we successfully implement our projects, we will look to our parent population to provide input throughout the school year. We pride ourselves in taking ownership in our schools. With continued support, TBSS will continue to strengthen and fulfill its vision of security and stability this year and into the future.
We are available to you via the school email address. To address an email to one of the members, use the first initial of their first name, then their last name @ TBSschools.org.
On behalf of all of the Board, I wish everyone a very memorable year.
